Forming Products Regular People Appreciate

By Felton Paschke

Steven M. Neil is a name that you probably haven't heard before. But he's the CEO of one of the top food companies in the world. Diamond Foods has a 10% share on the snacking market. That's massive when you consider how many products there are. His unique innovations have been instrumental in the company's growth.

Having only taken over in 2008, he hasn't had a whole lot of time to make his mark. But in that short time, he's taken great strides to help the company going forward. Through his help, they've really accomplished a lot as well.

One of the first things that he did, was to help provide more variety to the Emerald Nuts brand. While it was already successful, he ensured that they changed to become more of a health brand as well. Thereby opening themselves up to the health crazes.

A big part of his success at Diamond are the new brands that more than other CEOs helped them acquire though. There are several food companies he's responsible for acquiring, leading to an even larger hold on the snack market than before.

By acquiring new companies they were able to target a whole host of new customers. Including people that love popcorn, because the first company they bought was Pop Secret.

After that, Steven M. Neil online acquired Kettle Chips. This moved them into the potato chip business. This allows them to compete with some of the biggest brands around, like Lays which are much more well known in the snack industry.

However, they even tried to go further by acquiring Pringles, but the deal fell through at the last minute. But it's a credit to how big Diamond are in the industry, that they're able to even make moves like that in the first place.

In the end, you'd have to say that Steve Neil made an extremely positive difference. His innovations have led the company to a new level of prosperity. And will ensure an even stronger customer base in the future.
